As of January 1, 2018, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia implemented a Value Added Tax (VAT) rate of 5% which was later increased in the summer of 2020 to 15% to all tuition and educational supplements, this includes funds added to student accounts. This is not an additional cost but rather a government mandated tax. Saudi Nationals who provide their family national number are exempt from paying VAT.

Any applicant holding a Saudi passport must apply using their Saudi passport. Applicants from other nations should use the passport connected to their Saudi visa (e.g., Iqama).
As a school committed to excellence, our curriculum is based upon an integrated Singaporean curriculum, focusing on innovation, financial literacy, creativity and product design through semester projects. For example, a study may use mathematics many times in the school day in the context of financial literacy and innovation lab. Areas of learning include mathematics, technology, sciences, language arts, Arabic language, global citizenship, innovation, financial literacy with an emphasis on collaborative learning and critical thinking skills . Yes, B.I.T. offers students, and invites members of our local community, to a wide variety of activities through after school programs. All B.IT. students are welcome to join the before school club starting at 6:30 AM free of charge, as well as after school programs till 3 PM. Students may also enroll in activities in a variety of subjects throughout the year such as tennis, technology, music, fine and performing arts, etc. In addition, from 3-6 PM there are a wide variety of clubs that offer service opportunities and develop leadership skills including Robotics Club, Future Business Leaders Club, and Global Citizens Club to name a few.

B.I.T. students come from all around the world. The top nationalities are American, Saudi Arabian, and Canadian.
For the most part, B.I.T. teachers are from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and other native English speaking countries.
B.I.T. is located across the street from Arizona Golf and Resort, in Qurtobah neighborhood of Riyadh Exit 7.
B.I.T. does not currently offer bus transportation. Parents are responsible for providing transportation for their children. To ensure student safety, families, drivers and nannies are allowed into the school building upon presentation of a valid B.I.T. card.
Schools hours are from 7:30 AM to 3 PM for KG3 and Grade 1 whereas KG2 and KG2 school hours’ are from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Administrative offices are open from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Sunday through Thursday. Weekends are Fridays and Saturdays and summer hours are limited.
The first day of classes for the 2021-22 school year is Monday, September 6, 2021. The B.I.T. International Schools calendar consists of instructional days and the required local holiday. The last day of school for the 2021-22 school year is scheduled for Thursday, June 16, 2022.
B.I.T. requires students to wear school uniforms and must follow the student dress code.
All students bring their own food to school each day and eat breakfast and lunch in their assigned Dining Hall, where they are supervised by teachers and support staff.
Families are required to have internet access at home so that students may access learning resources outside of regular school hours and during scheduled Virtual Learning days. An important component of B.I.T.’s learning program is the blended learning platforms. B.I.T. utilizes several blended learning platforms to extend learning beyond the classroom. The main communication and collaboration platforms are Zoom and Educore. Student access to these services at home is essential for students to continue to work on assignments, to collaborate with peers and teachers, and learn what they missed in classes after absences.
Students take Arabic language classes two times every five days.
Students may also choose from Mandarin (Chinese), French, Spanish or German or French.
B.I.T. administers the NWEA MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) test to measure growth and to inform classroom instruction. Students from Grades 1 to 9 take the MAP test in the fall and spring, and a few grade levels also test in the Winter. The College Board PSAT and SAT exams are also administered in the High School.
B.I.T. students matriculate to some of the finest colleges and universities in the world.
